COME JOIN US AT THE 2014 SEMA SHOW

Come join us in our sixth year at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Put on by the Specialty Equipment Marketing Association, the SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. We will be displaying our lines of automotive and commercial window film; head and tail light protection films, and our car wrapping films.  This year we will be showcasing our brand new line of carbon films. Our new Carbon Series is a true carbon film, made with high quality nano-carbon compounds that give the film a high heat rejection and immunity against fading. This film is easy to work as it has excellent heat shrinkage properties. Moreover, unlike its metalized films counterparts, this film contains no metal and therefore will not interfere with GPS and radio signals. All this, while keeping an excellent IR rejection and 99% of the UV rays out. So, if you haven’t tried it yet, give us a call or visit us at our booth at this year’s SEMA Show!

Our booth number is 12659 inside the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

How to install head and tail light film

Tools Needed

  • Felt card, or a regular hard card wrapped in felt material.
  • Utility knife. (Must have sharp blade and tip!)
  • Heat gun.
  • Cleaning supplies. (Nonabrasive please!)
  • Water-Soap solution (¼ tsp of baby shampoo for every quart of water)

Installation Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean surfaces – Make sure that all surfaces where you intend to install the film are completely clean and dust free.
  2. Prepare the film –Cut enough material to cover the surface that you want to wrap. Make sure you leave 1 to 3 extra inches; this will ensure that you cover the area properly and leave no uncovered spots.
  3. Remove the adhesive liner – Once the vinyl is cut, completely remove the liner on the back and apply a mix of water and baby shampoo to the exposed adhesive backing and the surface where you intend to install the film. Make sure you apply solution generously on both surface and film. This will aid you when is time to position the film.
  4. Apply the vinyl – With the adhesive backing exposed; now you can apply it to the desired surface. Just center the piece over it, and squeegee out the water and air between the surface and the vinyl. Make sure you start from the center of the surface and work your way out to the edges. Also, use a heat gun or hair dryer to help you smooth out any imperfections. However, use heat responsibly. Do not overheat the material! Failure to do this will cause the material to melt.
  5. Cut excess material – After the completion of the last step, cut off any excess material. For a seamless look, tuck in the material inside any crevice and then cut the excess out.

How to apply wrapping vinyl (Carbon Fiber)

A number of our customers have asked us for instructions on how to apply our car wrap material. So we compiled a set of them based on the tips given to us by our installers.

Tools Needed

  1. Felt card, or a regular hard card wrapped in felt material.
  2. Utility knife. (Must have sharp blade and tip!)
  3. Heat gun.
  4. Cleaning supplies. (Nonabrasive please!)
  5. Lots of patience.

Installation Instructions

  1. Thoroughly clean surfaces – Before you apply our vinyl wrap material, it is necessary to prep the surface to make sure it’s completely clean, dry and free of any dirt or dust. Avoid the usage of abrasive cleaning materials.
  2. Prepare the vinyl – Take the roll out and cut enough material to cover the surface that you want to wrap. Make sure you leave 2 to 3 extra inches; this will ensure that you cover the area properly and leave no uncovered spots.
  3. Remove the adhesive liner – Once the vinyl is cut, completely remove the adhesive liner on the back. However, if the piece is too big, we recommend performing this in two steps. First by exposing half of the adhesive backing and applying it to the surface, and once that’s done finish the other half. It is best to perform this step by two people.  Also, it is very important to not let the material backing touch itself during this step.
  4. Apply the vinyl – With the adhesive backing exposed; now you can apply it to the desired surface. Just center the piece over it, and squeegee out the air between the surface and the vinyl. Make sure you start from the center of the surface and work your way out to the edges. The air release channels in our material will make your job much easier by providing an escape route for the trapped air inside. Also, don’t be afraid of using a heat gun, this will not only help you smooth out any imperfections, but will also help you mold the vinyl to any kind of curved surface.
  5. Cut excess material – After the completion of the last step, cut off any excess material. For a seamless look, tuck in the material inside any crevice and then cut the excess out.
